Sauvignon Blanc

Grown in our estate Mary’s Vineyard in Calistoga containing some of the oldest Sauvignon Blanc plantings in Napa Valley as well as a block of young vines. The older vines, which are more than 30 years old, offer concentration and complexity, while the young vines add vibrance. A small amount of Semillon adds roundness. The Sauvignon Blanc is planted to two clonal selections: Musqué, for its aromatics and flavors, and Clone 1 for its structure and palate.

Chardonnay

The grapes for this Chardonnay are sourced from three blocks from our Vista Montone estate vineyard located just east of Carneros, and small, family owned vineyard, called Frasamani, in the southernmost part of Carneros owned by one of our long-term grower partners. These vineyards were selected for the variety of vineyard aspects, soils and clones, which offer a complex palette of aromas, flavors and textures.

Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet is structured primarily around valley floor fruit from two of our St. Helena AVA estate vineyards, which offer ripe fruit character, good structure and a smooth, long finish. Further complexity and elegance is added to the blend with the addition of estate mountain vineyards from areas including Mt. Veeder and Atlas Peak.

Merlot

Quattro Theory Merlot is grown in Antica Vineyard in Foss Valley, Atlas Peak AVA, at 1,500 feet elevation. The valley’s north-south orientation benefits from cool nights and daytime temperatures influenced by the Carquinez Strait and seasonal fog. Planted in 1996 to clone 181 from Robert Sinskey, half the block uses 420A rootstock and the other half 44-53M. The late ripening of this site allows for enhanced flavor development.
